Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver pediatric home health services to patients aged 0–21. You will perform assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve functional goals.

The role requires TX licensure, pediatric experience, and the ability to educate families and staff. Driving to patient homes is involved; a valid license and auto insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy.
• Experience with pediatric populations and home health preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Must maintain valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, 2+ visits per week, per physician orders.
• Assess degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and advise on PT modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and resources.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
