Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric home health services and daytime facility care for patients aged 0–21, at least twice weekly as ordered by physicians.

You will assess impairments, interpret data, and guide a multidisciplinary team while educating caregivers and staff. A Texas PT license and pediatric experience are required, with Spanish being a bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads may show 6 weeks pediatric OT experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet PT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
