Job summary

NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE in Mesquite, TX, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled PT services to patients aged 0–21 in home or daytime facilities, 2+ visits per week as ordered by physicians.

The role requires a graduate degree in physical therapy and Texas licensure; pediatric experience is required. Home health experience is preferred and Spanish bilingual is a plus. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads minimum 6 weeks pediatric OT experience ( internship ).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ visits per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training and materials as part of the PT program.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
