Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team in Palm Springs, CA. This role requires an accredited PTA program degree and active CA licensure, with clinical experience preferred.

You will work under established plans of care, deliver therapy, and help residents maintain independence and safety. The position offers a salary range of $85,280–$104,000 annually, with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current California PT Assistant license required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments or discharges to ensure safe environments with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
