Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist for PRN weekend coverage to assess, treat, and guide patients through personalized recovery plans within inpatient therapy. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and support a patient-centered care experience.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Indiana licensure, current CPR, and the ability to work weekends. New grads welcome; Day-one benefits and generous PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Indiana licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients referred to the Physical Therapy department.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and goals.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, therapy plans, and home exercises.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans; prepare discharge recommendations.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in staff meetings.
• Supervise PT aides, rehab techs, and volunteers.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and student programs.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and treat patients referred to the Physical Therapy department

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, therapy plans, and home exercises
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and prepare discharge recommendations
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in staff meetings and case management
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, rehab techs, and volunteers
• Participate in departmental initiatives and student programs

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Licensure & Certifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Indiana
• Current CPR certification

Experience

• Clinical experience preferred
• New graduates welcome
