Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System (Indiana) is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN, part-time role in Mishawaka, IN. You will work with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver personalized treatment plans in the Rehabilitation Services department, supporting patients’ recovery and mobility goals.

Responsibilities include delivering prescribed exercises, documenting progress, educating patients on home programs, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in the State of Indiana.

Location: Mishawaka, IN
Schedule: PRN, flexible hours including weekends for the inpatient/outpatient therapy department in Mishawaka.

Department: Rehabilitation Services

Join a dynamic rehab team where your hands-on care helps patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver personalized treatment plans, track progress, and support patients throughout their recovery journey.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and treatments as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.

• Document patient progress clearly and accurately using standardized assessments.

• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active PTA license in the State of Indiana
• 1–2 years in a clinical setting preferred (new grads welcome!)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to varying treatment loads and schedules
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for patient care
