JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation team is seeking a collaborative physical therapist who is dedicated to working with complex and neurologically involved patients. This position is a per diem position, with the scheduled time varying depending on patient need and staff time off requests. Anticipate 2-3 days of coverage needed on a given week with increased hours during the holidays. Our inpatient rehabilitation team is a unique group within our health network as the only licensed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at the UVMHN, with a dynamic and skilled group of teammates providing interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and managing movement dysfunction
• Enhancing physical and functional abilities
• Promoting optimal quality of life related to movement and health
• Preventing impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities caused by diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries
• Providing direct care as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams
• Teaching and preparing patients, families, and caregivers for continued care after discharge
• Involvement in consultative services within the organization and community
• Demonstrating dedication to professional growth and continuous improvement of patient care

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's of Science or higher degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Vermont.
