Qualifications

  • DPT preferred with a focus on orthopedics and 1-2 years of experience.

Location: MOSA Physical Therapy Offices (430 Middletown, 211 S. Main, Westbrook, Hebron, Marlborough)

Work Hours: Per Diem: Offices are open Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Responsibilities/Duties:

What you’ll do:

  • Provide physical therapy services including evaluations and treatment in accordance with policy and procedures of state laws and the professional code of ethics.
  • Design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy (including soft tissue and joint mobilization); physical agents or modalities; and patient-related instruction (including home exercise program).
  • Ensure accurate and legible documentation, including initial evaluations, SOAP notes, flow sheets, re-evaluations (every 30 days or 10 visits for Medicare patients, whichever comes first), and discharge summaries, completed timely and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Maintain complete and accurate billing practices and assist front desk with maintaining authorizations.
  • Practice in a safe manner that minimizes risk to patients, self, and others.
  • Supervise assistive personnel and students to ensure safe care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education, professional contacts, journal articles, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Participate in the OAM student physical therapy program.
  • Assist in in-service presentations after attending continuing education courses or as requested.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly; maintain and report on facility equipment.
  • Adhere to work schedule, avoid excessive tardiness or absenteeism.
  • Follow dress code policy – surgical scrubs.
  • Report problems or issues to the Physical Therapy Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist
  • BLS certification
  • Orthopedic Focus: 1-2 years
