Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. You will deliver patient-centered therapy, perform evaluations, and implement modalities to restore function and reduce pain across pediatric to geriatric patients.

You will collaborate with licensed therapists and assistants, participate in orientation of staff, and maintain state licenses and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist license or compact privileges required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence.
• Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury.
• Provides patient care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants.
• May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Education

BS/MS/DPT in Physical Therapy

Current CEUs as required by Georgia State

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
• Must maintain current CEU's as by the State

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required
