Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist for the Outpatient Orthopedic Therapy team at CoxHealth South in Springfield MO. The role focuses on assessment and treatment of orthopedic/neurologic conditions in a collaborative setting, with mentorship and growth opportunities and a Day Shift. 40 hours/week, benefits package, sign-on and relocation incentives available.

You'll work with a diverse patient population to improve mobility, strength, and function, while delivering evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred).
• Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy (required).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat orthopedic/neurologic conditions.
• Develop Plan of Care with measurable goals.
• Provide mobility, pain relief, and functional improvements.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other departments.

As a part of their assessment, the therapist will develop objective and functional goals, a detailed Plan of Care, and a list of appropriate treatments and will work with all appropriate resources to carry out the Plan of Care and treatment. The Therapists is responsible to plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including, but not limited to, mobility devices, counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.Job RequirementsEducation:Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramPreferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical TherapyExperience:No prior experience requiredSkills:Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision requiredHas demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.Licensure/Certification/Registration:Required: Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy.
