Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist to support the Acute Therapy South team at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. You will assist patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric, delivering therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation services to restore movement and function.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program (PT)
• Active Missouri licensure required (Temporary licensure not accepted)
• Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services.
• Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and payers to share care updates.
• Assess mobility, pain, strength, and functional goals to tailor treatment.

This position cares for patients from pediatric to geriatric age who are referred for medical and educational services. Responsible for planning and implementing prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. The Physical Therapist is responsible for communication of care to Physicians, Nurse case Managers, and third party payers.Job RequirementsEducation: Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical TherapyExperience: No prior experience requiredSkills: Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
