Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Acute Therapy South unit in Springfield, MO. You will work in a fast-paced inpatient setting across ICU/medical-surgical floors, focusing on mobility, pain relief, and functional independence. A mentorship program supports new graduates and those new to acute care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Active Missouri licensure for Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients to minimize disability and develop skills for independence in inpatient care.
  • Plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including counseling.
  • Communicate care details to the patient care team regarding treatment, discharge, and next level of care.
  • Collaborate within a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care environment.
