Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to work in Acute Therapy South at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. You will assist the Physical Therapist with therapeutic exercises and contribute to patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• No prior experience required.
• Missouri licensure as PTA active is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with therapeutic exercises, training or treatment plans.
• Provide care across patient ages from pediatric to geriatric.
• Communicate patient information to the physical therapy staff for planning and coordination.
• Contribute to documentation and ensure accurate patient records.

Works with patients from pediatric to geriatric ages who are referred for medical and educational services. The primary functions are to perform patient related activities, including delegated procedures that are commensurate with educational skill and training.
