Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a Physical Therapist for an IRF Acute Float role. You will assess patients, design personalized therapy plans, and collaborate with physicians to restore mobility and independence.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based interventions, monitoring progress, documenting outcomes, and educating patients and families. New graduates are welcome to apply as part of a nurturing, patient-centered team supported by a national rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Master’s preferred).
• Current Missouri professional license or eligibility.
• BCLS certification (AHA).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, both written and verbal.

Your Role Will Include

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team

• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

Qualifications

• Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy / Master’s degree preferred
• Current Missouri professional license or license eligible
• Basic Cardiac Life Saving (BCLS) – American Heart Association
• Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• New grads accepted
