HCA Healthcare's Research Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support an IRF program on weekends. You’ll deliver individualized therapies, supervise patients alongside PTs, and coordinate care with nurses and aides to restore mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current State professional license and current BLS required.
• Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills; strong communication skills.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Collaborating with PTs, nurses, aides, and care teams to enhance patient experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This is primarily a weekend position.

Your responsibilities will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum education required is a Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current State professional license and current BLS required.
