Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, GA is seeking a licensed physical therapist to provide comprehensive PT services for a diverse patient population. You will perform evaluations, apply modalities, and design plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

You will collaborate with PTA staff, orient and guide team members, and ensure high-quality patient care. Requires a PT degree (BS/MS/DPT), GA license, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (BS, MS, or DPT).
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist license or compact privileges required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence.
• Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Provides patient care to all age groups (pediatric, adult, geriatric).
• Responsible for care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants (PTAs).
• May orient and guide assigned staff.

Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
• Must maintain current CEU's as by the State

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required
