Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for our Inpatient Rehab Team at the Bloomington Hospital. The role provides direct patient care, supervises physical therapy assistants and students, and supports department operations.

Requirements include a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor's/Master’s in PT (pre-2016), Indiana PT license, and BLS; advanced life support may be required. PTO, 401k match, and additional programs accompany this opportunity.

Job description

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

This is a part-time (24 hrs/week) position with our Inpatient Rehab Team at our Bloomington Hospital.

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
