IU Health in Bloomington is seeking a part-time physical therapist to join the Inpatient Rehab Team at Bloomington Hospital. This role focuses on providing comprehensive PT services, guiding patients toward restored function, reduced pain and independence in daily activities.

You'll supervise PT assistants and students, participate in department operations, and contribute to patient education and care planning, while maintaining Indiana licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physical Therapy prior to 2016.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policy.

Overview

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

This is a part-time (24 hrs/week) position with our Inpatient Rehab Team at our Bloomington Hospital.

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
