Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Eagle Highlands Outpatient Center team in a full-time capacity. You will provide comprehensive PT services to restore function and reduce pain, while supervising assistants and contributing to patient education and department operations.

Applicants must hold a PT degree (DPT or equivalent), Indiana licensure, and BLS certification; advanced life support may be required per unit.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in physical therapy or Bachelor’s/Master’s in PT (pre-2016).
• Active Physical Therapist license in Indiana.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced life support may be required by unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to restore function and reduce pain.
• Supervise physical therapist assistants and support personnel.
• Support education and department operations through related activities.

Requirements

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
