Job summary

IU Health Riley Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to treat patients in a Level 1 trauma center. The role involves delivering comprehensive PT services to a diverse caseload in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a DPT or BS/MS in Physical Therapy completed before 2016, Indiana PT licensure, and BLS (with possible advanced life support per unit). The position includes supervision of staff and ongoing patient education; Shift: Mon-Fri with weekend/holiday

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physical Therapy completed before 2016.
• Current Physical Therapist license in Indiana.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department.

• Supervise physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students.
• Deliver care in a Level 1 trauma center with diverse caseload; participate in department operations.

Requirements

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.

Roles and Responsibilities

Seeking experience in Acute Care.

We are currently looking for a Full Time PT to treat patients in a Level 1 trauma center with a high volume, fast paced environment. Our caseload involves patients from birth to 21+ with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, neurosurgery, cardiology & cardiothoracic surgery, burn, hematology. and oncology patients among others.

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
