Job summary

The Physical Therapist role at MaineHealth performs evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach maximum performance per the provider's Plan of Care. New grads are welcome; ideal is inpatient or skilled rehab experience.

License, BLS, and valid driver license required; full-time (32 hrs) with four 8-hour days schedule or rotating Sundays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state (or eligible).

Responsibilities

• Perform PT evaluations and develop plans of care.
• Carry out treatments to restore function and relieve pain.
• Provide care per APTA standards and plan of care.

The Inpatient/Skilled Rehab department at this location is a cohesive and innovative team that cares for a wide range of patients.

Full Time(32hrs)

• Schedule: (4) 8 hour days – Sun, Mon, Tues& Fri
• Orrotating Sundays with anadditionalday during the week

Summary The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standardsestablishedby the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education:Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist programrequired.

License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapistrequiredor in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certificationrequiredor mustobtainwithin30 daysof start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License withvehicleavailable for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.

Experience:One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
