Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist in Brunswick, ME to perform evaluations, develop care plans, and deliver treatments that restore function and relieve pain in accordance with each Plan of Care and American Physical Therapy Association standards.

Candidates must graduate from an APTA-accredited program, hold a current state license, have BLS (or obtain within 30 days), and possess a valid driver's license for home care as needed.

Summary

The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $83,324.80to $112,736.00per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
