Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and administer therapies to restore function and relieve pain.

The role follows the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider and adheres to American Physical Therapy Association standards; BLS and state license requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program is required.
  • Current state physical therapy license or compliant with state act is required.
  • BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license with vehicle for work is required for Home Care positions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PT evaluations and develop plans of care.
  • Carry out treatments to restore function and relieve pain.
  • Prevent disability and help patients reach max performance per prescribed Plan of Care.
  • Provide care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Summary:
The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  3. Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $83,324.80to $112,736.00per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
