NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Physical Therapist I to join our rehabilitation team. The role involves evaluating PT needs and delivering medically prescribed therapy to patients in a supervised program, with emphasis on clinical decision making and patient progress.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, NYS license or temporary permit, CPR, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• 0-1 years experience as a Physical Therapist; NYS license required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Initial assessment and evaluation of PT needs for assigned patients.
• Develops and implements comprehensive, medically prescribed PT treatment.
• Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
• Participates in team meetings, case conferences and committees as assigned.
• Develops discharge plans with patients, care partners and care team.
• Teaches and supervises students in appropriate techniques and procedures.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts treatment accordingly.
• Implements treatment plans and refers to other services as needed.
• Develops measurable short and long term goals in the care plan.
