Job summary

Care New England is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evaluation and physical therapy treatment to patients referred by the medical team. You will use manual therapy, exercises, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, RI licensure, and at least one year of progressive clinical experience; acute care or home health settings are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, exercises, and strategies for continued progress.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress and adjust plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Recommend and instruct on adaptive equipment and mobility aids to enhance independence and safety.
• Adhere to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and licensure requirements.

Job Summary

Physical therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy treatment and evaluating patients referred by other qualified medical personnel. Through a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized interventions, the PT works to improve patients' mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions. Analyze medical history and diagnostic data to develop individualized treatment plans
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patients' specific needs and goals. Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, modalities, and assistive devices to address mobility limitations and functional impairments.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, exercise regimens, and strategies for maintaining progress outside of therapy sessions. Promote self-management and injury prevention.
• Regularly assess and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and session notes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and orthopedic specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and integrated treatment approaches.
• Recommend and instruct patients on the use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and mobility aids to enhance independence and safety.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality. Comply with state licensure requirements, professional regulations, and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy

A minimum of one (1) year progressive clinical experience required. Previous experience in an acute care or Home health care environment setting preferred.

RI licensure required
