Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Therapy team in Oklahoma. Under nursing/therapy leadership, you will conduct objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients, promoting mobility and healing.

You will supervise patients directly and rehab technicians indirectly, oversee PT assistants in accordance with state practice acts, and uphold Mercy Service Standards while delivering compassionate, evidence-based

Qualifications

• Current state license in state of practice.
• DPT or equivalent degree.
• BLS certification required.
• 6 months to 1 year rehab experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatrics.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
