Job summary

Mercy in Midwest City, OK is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients directly and oversee rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in line with state practice acts and Mercy standards.

The role requires a current PT license, a degree in physical therapy (BS/MS/DPT), and BLS certification, with six months to one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• BLS certification required.
• Six months to one year experience in rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Experience: Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Other: Preferred Education: Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients. Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
