Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assess patients and develop individualized rehab programs for adults and the elderly. You will supervise direct patient care and oversee rehabilitation technicians, with supervision of PT assistants as required by state practice acts.

Qualifications

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
