Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to conduct objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients. The role includes direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehab technicians, and supervising PT assistants per State Practice Acts.

Required is a current Physical Therapy license in the state, with a degree in PT (Bachelor, MS, or DPT) and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Six months to one year experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
