Job summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health in Brunswick, ME is seeking a Physical Therapist for full-time work. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and perform therapies to restore function and reduce pain, following the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider and APTA standards.

Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an APTA accredited PT program with current state licensure and BLS certification (within 30 days).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program.
  • Current license/temporary license as required; BLS cert within 30 days.
  • One year of PT experience in hospital, long-term care, home or outpatient preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PT evaluations and develop plans to restore function.
  • Carry out treatments to relieve pain and prevent disability.
  • Align care with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider and ASPIRE to APTA standards.

Summary

The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
