Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc. is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to assess patients, design and implement outpatient treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and staff across our Virginia clinics.

Qualified candidates graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program, hold Virginia licensure (or be eligible) and CPR certification, and can operate autonomously with EMR and standard office tools.

Qualifications

• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Virginia license or ability to obtain Virginia license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on evaluation results.
• Review Physician's referral and patient condition to determine required PT treatment.
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehab technicians.
• Complete written plan of care, set goals, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals.
• Implement PT treatment program and provide essential PT treatments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes, reports, evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
