Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia seeks licensed Physical Therapy Assistants to join outpatient clinics focused on patient-centered care. You will implement therapy programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver treatments under supervision, aiming to restore and enhance mobility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or the ability to obtain it in Virginia.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document daily notes and reports, including workers' comp and progress reports.
• Administer active and passive manual therapies and modalities (e.g., massage, heat, ultrasound, infrared).
• Assist with traction to relieve neck/back pain.
• Instruct and help patients with functional activities and mobility tasks.
• Monitor patient progress and report findings to the PT and Clinical Director.
• Fit and train patients in use of braces, crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs.
• Collaborate with PT staff to plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
• Measure range of motion and collect data for evaluations.
