Job summary

SAN Rafael Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care in our therapy department, focusing on restoring independent function and applying current treatment knowledge.

You will supervise assistants, document care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to professional development while maintaining high standards of safety and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Physical Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support activities.
• Evaluate and treat patients; communicate with families and physicians.
• Document services in medical records and ensure accurate billing.
• Supervise PTAs and aides in patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in team conferences.
• Educate families and staff on treatment plans and follow-up.
