Alameda Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support therapy services within the department. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires supervision of assistants, accurate documentation, and active participation in rehab team conferences. A state license and experience in rehabilitation are expected.

Formación

• Knowledge in Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities in Occupational Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all patient types.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and treat patients to restore independent function.
• Supervise COTAs and aides in direct patient care and related activities.
• Document services in medical records accurately and thoroughly.
• Communicate with families, physicians and health team members.
• Contribute to professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in follow-up programs.
