Job summary

Mercy Health Center seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. This role includes supervising patients, rehab technicians, and PT assistants in line with State Practice Act and Mercy standards.

Requirements include a PT degree (DPT preferred), current/temporary PT license, and BLS certification. Six months to one year of experience is preferred, with ability to lift 50 lbs and sustain

• BLS certified. Certifications must be current before care to patients independently.

Under the general supervision of the Rehab Therapy supervisor at the Rehab Center at Mercy Health Center, and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

**$10,000 Sign-On Bonus**

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
