Job summary

Mercy seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to deliver objective assessments and comprehensive treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under supervision guidelines. The role involves supervising patients, rehabilitation technicians, and PT aides in accordance with State Practice Acts while aligning with Mercy’s mission and service standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy (MS or DPT), an active PT license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; experience with adult and geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants as per state acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:
