Job summary

Mercy in Illinois is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services to adults and geriatric patients. You will coordinate with physicians, case managers, and staff to meet care goals and ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

The role includes supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides, maintaining current licensure and BLS, and participating in a team that promotes Mercy’s mission and service standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified; certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience in rehabilitation.
• Supervision: General supervision of PT assistants; indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess needs of patients and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services defined in treatment plans.
• Work cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and staff.
• Direct supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides.
