Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Physical Therapist at Mercy Sunforest Court. The role includes initial and ongoing patient assessments, and delivering skilled therapeutic interventions across outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics, and off-site locations.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, documenting progress in the EMR, and supervising the PT assistant. Requires licensure as a PT in current practice state and BLS within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or eligible for traineeship or temporary license.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred).
• Demonstrates age-specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathers pertinent information, and develops an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy to patients daily following plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy.
• Maintains accurate and concise records in the EMR of care provided and patient progress; co-signs as required.
• Maintains productivity while delivering quality care that meets department standards.
• Supervises the physical therapist assistant’s interventions and professional growth.
