University Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions.

You will collaborate with rehabilitation professionals to help patients return to peak function, wellness and performance. Virginia license is required; DPT or equivalent; strong team player with initiative is valued.

Qualifications

• DPT or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapy license.
• 1+ years outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine preferred; new grads encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members in the community to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine.
  • New graduates with strong interest in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehab are encouraged to apply.
