UPMC Muncy Place is seeking a Casual (PRN) Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, developing individualized care plans that support recovery and functional independence. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, supervise PTAs, provide patient and family education including home exercise programs, and maintain accurate documentation with high-quality patient care.

Weekend commitments and rotating holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Active PT license in the practicing state.
• BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Clearances: Act 34, OAPSA.

Schedule & Flexibility

• Casual (PRN) role with daylight hours
• Minimum commitment of one weekend per month

Role Overview

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, developing individualized care plans that support recovery and functional independence. You'll work collaboratively with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations, reassessments, and treatment interventions
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and progress
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to communicate patient status
• Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to optimize care delivery
• Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharges
• Complete charging and productivity documentation in alignment with department standards
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
• Support department needs through occasional rotation across treatment areas

Professional Development

• Maintain current licensure through continuing education and professional growth

Education & Knowledge
