Job summary

TransPerfect Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support the aging population in senior living and skilled nursing settings. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed PT to implement treatment plans, promote functional skills, and monitor progress for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice (NC).

Responsibilities

• Treat residents with disorders or deficits within the PTA scope, per physician order and evaluation.
• Optimize residents' functional abilities.
• Complete documentation via Net Health.
• Collaborate with supervising PT to develop resident-specific programs and fulfill supervision requirements.
• Attend care planning, staff and family meetings.
• Assist the facility in meeting state and federal certification while following OBRA guidelines.
• Follow infection control policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the treatment of residents with noted disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope of practice upon receiving physician order and completion of evaluation
• Optimize the functionality and skills of patients
• Completes all necessary documentation via Net Health
• Collaborate with supervising PT developing programs appropriate to the needs of facility residents while fulfilling PTA/PT co-signature and supervision requirements
• Attend all required meetings including care planning, staff meetings, family meetings, etc.
• Assist the facility in meeting the standards necessary to obtain state and federal certification while following OBRA Resident Right Guidelines
• Follow facility infection control policies and procedures
• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice
