Job summary

TransPerfect Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our caring team in Virginia. We support continuing education and clinical mentorship while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to aging residents in senior living and skilled nursing settings.

You will collaborate with supervising PT, document in Net Health, participate in care planning, and help facilities meet OBRA standards.

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents with disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope after physician order and evaluation.
• Optimize residents' functionality and skills.
• Complete documentation via Net Health.
• Collaborate with supervising PT to develop programs and meet co-signature/supervision requirements.
• Attend care planning, staff, and family meetings as required.
• Assist in meeting OBRA certification standards and follow infection control policies.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the treatment of residents with noted disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope of practice upon receiving physician order and completion of evaluation
• Optimize the functionality and skills of patients
• Completes all necessary documentation via Net Health
• Collaborate with supervising PT developing programs appropriate to the needs of facility residents while fulfilling PTA/PT co-signature and supervision requirements
• Attend all required meetings including care planning, staff meetings, family meetings, etc.
• Assist the facility in meeting the standards necessary to obtain state and federal certification while following OBRA Resident Right Guidelines
• Follow facility infection control policies and procedures
• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice
