Position: Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Solaris HealthCare is now hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team!

Qualifications:

1. Successful graduation from a school offering a course of not less than two years for physical therapist assistants, approved by the appropriate accrediting agency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education at the time of graduation, and passing an examination to determine fitness for practice.
2. Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Florida.
3. Prior experience in Physical Therapy, preferred.
4. Member of the state and national American Physical Therapy Association, preferred.
5. Professional attitude and appearance.
6. Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
7. Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy.
8. Thorough knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and necessary safety measures.
9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and obtain their cooperation.
10. Ability to work effectively with medical staff and other personnel.
11. Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the demands of patients and staff.
12. Maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
13. Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement, preferred.
