Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc. seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help older adults regain mobility, confidence, and independence in Everett, WA.

You will split time between Everett Transitional Care Services and Bethany at Pacific, delivering gait, balance, and functional training in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting. The role supports new grads and experienced clinicians with mentorship, a sustainable caseload, and a therapist-owned culture that values clinical

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care; SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Split time between Everett Transitional Care Services and Bethany at Pacific in Everett, WA.
• Treat medically complex geriatric residents with mobility and functional goals.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery.
• Support transfers, daily activities, and fall-risk reduction.

Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who finds purpose in helping older adults regain mobility, confidence, and dignity.

You’ll work with residents navigating recovery, chronic conditions, and life transitions - providing therapy that truly changes daily life!

What a Day Looks Like

As a PTA in our geriatric clinics, your day is relationship-driven, collaborative, and clinically meaningful:

• You will split time between Everett Transitional Care Services and Bethany at Pacific. Both are located on separate floors of Providence Regional Hospital in Everett, WA.
• You will treat a medically complex geriatric population in a setting where time, clinical reasoning, and compassion are valued. You will be challenged every day!
• Guiding residents through mobility milestones - first steps, safe transfers, returning home
• Leading gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions
• Helping reduce fall risk and build confidence with daily activities
• Collaborating closely with your PT to adjust care plans
• Working alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery
• Celebrating small wins that matter deeply to patients and families
