Independence Rehab in Midvale, UT is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support geriatric residents in achieving mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT, and speech for holistic care.
• Support resident transitions back home and reduce fall risk.
• Document progress and adjust treatment plans with supervision.

What a Day Looks Like

As a PTA in our geriatric clinics, your day is relationship-driven, collaborative, and clinically meaningful:

• You'll treat a medically complex geriatric population in a setting where time, clinical reasoning, and compassion are valued. You will be challenged every day!
• Guiding residents through mobility milestones - first steps, safe transfers, returning home
• Leading gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions
• Helping reduce fall risk and build confidence with daily activities
• Collaborating closely with your PT to adjust care plans
• Working alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery
