Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate PTA Clinical Lead in Shelton, WA to lead a geriatric therapy program and maintain a patient-centered, compliant operation. You will balance a regular caseload (minimum 50% productivity) with staff supervision, hiring partnerships, and collaboration with facility leadership.

You’ll shape team culture, mentor clinicians, manage schedules and department revenue, and ensure PDPM reimbursement knowledge informs daily practice.

Qualifications

• Active WA PTA license in good standing.
• Minimum one year SNF clinical experience.
• Knowledge of PDPM reimbursement and related policies.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and team-building abilities.

Responsabilités

What a Day Looks Like

As Clinical Lead, your work is relationship-driven, collaborative, and highly impactful.

You’ll lead a medically complex geriatric therapy program while maintaining an active patient caseload.

Your responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the entire therapy department including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff
• Attending multi-disciplinary facility management meetings
• Managing relationships with facility leadership and administration
• Interviewing and hiring therapy staff in partnership with Recruiting
• Creating and managing therapy team schedules
• Monitoring department revenue and expenses to support sustainable profitability
• Serving as a key contact for patients, families, and caregivers
• Carrying a regular caseload (minimum ~50% productivity; varies by program size)
• Ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation standards
• Training and mentoring staff on policies, procedures, and clinical expectations

Education & Experience

• Current Washington State PTA license in good standing
• Minimum one-year SNF clinical experience
• Prior DOR experience preferred but not required
• Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and PDPM reimbursement
• Driven, teachable, detail-oriented, and organized
• Competent and confident leading, motivating, and developing others
