Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a part-time, day-shift Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).

You will work under licensed PT supervision, implement plans of care, and help advance therapy programs through evidence-based practices while contributing to community health initiatives and ongoing professional development within a people-first

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and must provide an original driving record.
• Driving record must not reveal any DUIs, speeding tickets, or accidents within the past two years.
• One year driving experience.
• Previous medical or rehabilitation setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs delivery of care following physical therapy plans of care and delivers prescribed care to patients in line with APTA standards and Kansas practice act.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.
