Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home health services in the Kansas City area under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program (required).
• Active Kansas PTA license through KSBHA (required).
• Minimum 1 year PTA experience (required).
• 2+ years experience and home health experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and balance
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Prepare and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment
• Assist patients with transfers and mobility training during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with company and regulatory standards

Position Summary

The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver personalized, hands‑on care that promotes recovery, mobility, and functional independence for patients in their homes.
