Thrive Therapy of Kansas in Topeka, KS is seeking a Full-Time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our patient‑centered team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver hands‑on care in patients' homes.

The role emphasizes improving strength, mobility, and independence through individualized treatment plans, with flexibility, professional growth, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in addition to PTA (preferred)
• Active Kansas PTA license through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA)
• Minimum 1 year PTA experience; 2+ years home health preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and balance
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Prepare and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment
• Assist patients with transfers and mobility training during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with company and regulatory standards

Position Summary

The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver personalized, hands‑on care that promotes recovery, mobility, and functional independence for patients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
