Job summary

Synchrony in Lafayette, IN seeks a PTA to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care in an interdisciplinary setting.

You will implement treatment plans, guide exercises and modalities, monitor patient responses, document progress, and report findings to the supervising therapist, while collaborating with nurses and other clinicians to optimize outcomes.

A current PTA license in the state and CPR certification are required; 0-1 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
